Alex Yanez Joins Windwalker Expeditions
(CAVE CREEK, AZ) - AQHA , American Quarter Horse Association Championship Horse Trainer, Alex Yanez of Phoenix, Arizona joins the Windwalker Expeditions Guide Team. A horseman for 40 years, Alex provides some of Arizona’s finest Quarter Horses for our guests’ riding pleasure. As Head Trainer at the Pretty Penny Ranch for 28 years, Alex trained 26 AQHA Finalists in the Halter Horse division. Alex’s champion Quarter Horses include: Scarlett Impressive, State Champion - Pocito Trouble, Mr. Happy Hour and Tuffy.
As a PRCA, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association
Championship Team Roper, Alex competed for 15 years in the Team Roping Division becoming a United States Team Roping Championship, USTRC Finalist in 1984, ’85, ’86, 90’, 93, and 1994.
World Series Team Roping
You can see Alex compete in most 2010-2011 World Series Team Roping Events with his roping partner Arthur Craft.
Horseback Guide
Alex provides Windwalker Expedition clients with Western trained Quarter Horses and leads outings to the Black Canyon Trail in the Superstition Wilderness, the Camp Creek Trail, the McDowell Mountains, and the Arizona Trail, Arizona’s National Scenic Trail.
