Milton is
a unique cowboy for a unique company.
Recruited by Major League Baseball at the age of 16, a semi pro pitcher
for 4 years with the Mets & Phillies, degreed in business, a Funny Car
designer with covers in Hot Rod magazine, a successful artist with
his own studio today; how did he become Ranch Manager for a cattle ranch near
Prescott, an accomplished Endurance Rider completing AERC, American Endurance
Ride Conference races, and Trail Manager for Windwalker Expeditions? He started as a farm boy riding the family plow
horses, bareback. There wasn’t any
pleasure riding on the farm. Horses
meant work and Milton
was warned to stay away from those ‘ornery’ animals. But by age 6, feeling the seedlings of
independence developing in his soul, Milton
climbed from the corral fence onto the back of a plow horse and was instantaneously
deposited into a pile of manure. It was
a soft landing and the start of a life-long love of spirited horses. Today, Milton
joins his love of the trail and his animals with an expansive knowledge of
desert lore and survival skills.
Milton’s
Arabians provide Windwalker’s English trained and Endurance Ride clients with
this same spirited trail ride, without the bucking. His horses love the open trail as much as Milton. They love their clients too.
A perfect day for Milton
would be a 25 mile horseback ride through the Superstition Wilderness or a visit to the MOMA. If you
want memorable conversation as well as a memorable horseback ride, ask for Milton.
