Keep it small, personable and first class!

The Windwalker goal is to customize and create safe and exciting outdoor adventure travel for small, private groups, who want something more than a dusty day on the Arizona trails. We find that smaller groups (preferably 2-4 people) allow for a more personable and intimate experience and our guides enjoy spending time with each person in the group. We strive to meet the needs of our outdoor adventure guests to the very best of our ability and frequently accommodate special requests including everything from gourmet meals to arranging some private time on the trail to propose to your sweetheart.

Our History

Windwalker Expeditions came into existence sort of by accident. Joseph Milton and his wife, Michele Lynn, have lived in Cave Creek for many years and have been avid outdoor adventurers and horseback riders for even longer. Over the years, the growth of housing developments cut off many of their favorite trails and riding paths. In desperation, Joseph contacted the Bureau of Land Management and the National Forest Service to see if it was possible to get permits to ride on public lands. With great delight, he duly received permission and began taking groups of friends on amazing adventures.

As you can imagine, word spread like a wildfire in the desert, and soon Joseph and Michele were getting calls from groups of tourists hoping to experience unique outdoor adventure travel. Windwalker took such good care of its guests that they told all their friends, and so the expedition company has grown by leaps and bounds over the years.

Because Windwalker has access to very remote areas, guests are treated to unique views of Native American ruins and pristine desert wilderness areas that are far off the normal tourist paths, unlike any other outdoor adventure travel experience in Arizona.

Despite its amazing growth and popularity, Windwalker remains committed to providing personalized service and unique off-road, hiking, photography and riding experiences for every person that wants a true outdoor adventure in the Desert Southwest.

The owners and guides at Windwalker are like family to each other, and that creates a terrific comfortable feeling ... a feeling we know extends to include our guests.
