I totally reiterate Newbi's accolades of our trip. Wow, what an adventure! The riding, the views...spectacular!!! The company, the food...grand! Dan was so funny to watch trying to remember all the food that was supposed to go together. Joseph was a great guide...good stories, and quiet times that gave us opportunities to reflect on our good fortune at being able to enjoy this new place! What a memorable trip. Thank you all!!! We'll see you again next year for new adventures! Hugs to all of you...Cindy B

The Superstition Mountains, the Superstition Loop and the Apache Trail, have been a source of mystery and legend since early times. The area is dotted with ancient cliff dwellings and caves, many showing signs of former habitation by a number of different Native American groups, up until the 1800s. The Superstition Wilderness is supposedly the location of the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine (that still hasn't been found). With a little luck, perhaps you will be the first to locate it! The towering mountains provide numerous photographic opportunities and short hikes will take you to even more remote areas and amazing scenery. Let our guides reveal the mysteries of these mountains through the lens of your camera.

Join one of Windwalker's professional photographers, Jack McAward, as he takes a step back in time and visits the ancient civilizations of central Arizona. At Wupatki and Sunset Crater the earth’s geologic past lies exposed, shaped by the violence of volcanic eruptions and by the slow erosion of older rock layers.  Within canyon walls and in broad scenic vistas, catch glimpses of the distant past, of ancient seas and sand dunes, and of plants and animals that have adapted to live here today. Explore the ancient civilizations and Pueblo dwellings at Montezuma Well with its ancient cliff dwellings perched along the rim.  Over 1.5 million gallons of 74-degree water flows into the well every day.
